After getting into trouble in India for a visa violation, Karl Rock stayed in Pakistan. Later, he returned to New Zealand. He learned Urdu when he visited Pakistan. Since he is familiar with the Urdu language, he created a video to teach Urdu to travelers who want to visit Pakistan.

It is amazing to see Karl Rock adapt to the culture, language, and traditions of Pakistan. You can see in this video that he is wearing Pakistani apparel, Shalwar Kameez with Chitrali Pakol. Pakol is the traditional woolen round hat that Pakhtoon and Chitralis wear. It is pleasing to watch him explore Pakistani food, culture, and traditions. Also, because he is familiar with Urdu's basic words and phrases, he can easily be mistaken as a local in Pakistan's northern region. That's how good he is at blending in!
