Kara and Nate traveled to the city of Zeist and tried the most typical Dutch food. They got a long list of things they should try, like a ‘frikandel‘, raw herring, ‘oliebollen‘, and ‘stamppot‘.
Me, Guus from Free Birds, was born in the Netherlands, so watching this video really brings a smile to my face. What's so normal to me, is so alien to these two funloving Americans. For me, it's so normal to get a ‘kroket' from a vending machine, but for them, it's like they are on another planet!
If you're ever visiting Holland, go try a ‘kapsalon‘, a ‘patatje mayo-pinda‘, a ‘stroopwafel‘, a piece of ‘drop‘, a ‘kroket‘ and, of course, when the sun shines, cold beer with ‘bitterballen‘. You'll love it!
