Sam Newton pens an incredibly heartfelt love letter to travel

If someone asks me to sum up travel in a few words, I would fail. Because something so liberating can not be and should not be caged with minimum words. But this year has been a trying time for all of us. Needless to say, the pandemic has been overwhelming. In the midst of chaos, Sam Newton writes a letter to travel.

Sam Newton lays out his emotions as he narrates his letter. A short, moving message of how dearly we miss traveling.

Along with being a cinematic traveler videographer, Sam is also the co-founder of Move to Create. It is a company that promotes travel-related brands. He is very enthusiastic about his craft and tends to love turtlenecks. He has visited more than 30 countries in 3 years and likes to inspire people to travel.

An ode to travel

Sam, like all of us, misses traveling a lot. Because of the turbulent times, he had to settle down. But the anxiety and confusion around the world moved him enough to sit down and write a letter to travel. He published this video on his Youtube channel which has around 85k subscribers.

Whatever he says relates to everyone who loves to travel. It has taught us things about ourselves. Although we took the journey outwards, we were simultaneously searching inwards as well. Travel is like something that our soul desperately needs even though we do not understand why. Perhaps, it has to do with our long and epic history of the times when mankind roamed the Earth without borders, only horizons.

As mentioned by Sam Newton, travel makes us all feel like we are truly free. Unbound of our invisible shackles, we feel as if we could walk down the untrodden paths and swim in the empty lakes. Freedom is one expression we could get behind when it concerns travel. It makes us feel part of nature and maybe that's the part of us that is the rawest. Let's hope that the world heals quickly so we can finally run barefoot across the meadows. Until then, stay safe and spread the love! Peace!
