Do you love avocado's, Insta-worthy restaurants, and healthy good food? Then you will love The Avocado Show in Amsterdam!
There is a lovely hotspot in Amsterdam where this special fruit gets the spotlight it deserves: The Avocado Show. During our trip to Amsterdam, we had lunch in this unique restaurant. And in this review, you can hear what that was like. Spoiler alert: we loved every bite of it!

Committed to sustainability
It is a very nice concept to set up a restaurant with avocados in de spotlight. And the Avocado Show are also committed to sustainability. They only work with avocado farmers and suppliers who have sustainable and socially responsible operations. Sounds great, right?! Let's visit them!
They have two different locations of The Avocado Show in Amsterdam and there is also one in Brussels. The restaurants all look slightly different from each other. At the bottom of the page, you will find more information about the different locations. We visited The Avocado Show in Amsterdam Downtown at the Keizersgracht which also has an outdoor terrace, so you can eat while enjoying the beautiful view of the Amsterdam canals and the picturesque canal houses.
The very friendly and helpful staff speaks well English. After ordering you don't have to wait long for your food. The food is healthy, super fresh, and presented very beautifully. Also, the restaurant inside is nicely decorated with velvet pink sofas, a wall full of green plants, and fun yellow neon letters. Besides that the food is very tasty, both the dishes and the restaurant are a very Insta-worthy hotspot!
Sometimes it can be busy, and if so, then you give your name and telephone number and you will be notified when your table is almost ready. Be sure to get that spot at the window, because it's the most Insta-worthy spot at the restaurant!

The menu of The Avocado Show
Their slogan is ‘Pretty healthy food', and that sums it up perfectly. Most dishes are made out of avocado, that is why it is called The Avocado Show ;)! But some of the dishes do not have avocado in it, and others can be made without avocado upon request. Many of the dishes at The Avocado Show are vegetarian or vegan. Thus there is enough choice for everyone!
To read the menu you have to scan the QR code on the table. Unfortunately, the menu doesn't include any photos of the food at all, which can make it difficult to make a choice. They have a day menu and an evening menu. So you can go here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu includes egg dishes, salads, toasts, poké bowls, burgers, pancakes, and all sorts of sweets.
We had a Smooth Operator smoothie, which was made out of healthy vegetables and was very filling. We also ordered a homemade ice tea, called Spring Sensation, which was very refreshing and colorful. For starters, we had the Avo Fries. Yes, fries but then made out of avocados. It is served with a very tasty sauce. And we had the beautiful looking Avo Garden: an avocado that is decorated with, among other things, edible flowers and on the side breadsticks. Inside was a kind of hummus and it was slightly spicy, Yummy!

Deliciousness
As the main course, we had a Poké Bowl Salamango, which cost 16 euros. The poké bowl with salmon and mango was excellent. It tasted like fresh sushi mixed with creamy deliciousness. And we also had the pancakes Vegan Saint Stack, which cost 13 euros. The pancakes were quite fluffy and the maple syrup and the subtle taste of blueberry made it a perfect yummy dish. Not only how beautifully everything was presented, but also the flavors were excellent!
Be sure to end your meal with fresh ginger tea and a double espresso. The espresso had a very strong taste, delicious. Overall it is slightly on the expensive side, but well worth the experience. We will come back for sure!
