There were many factors that contributed to the growth of the city. Not only was the port a significant trading hub, the discovery of oil in 1966 made it all the more prominent. The infrastructural development programs started to flourish and this attracted millions of people from around the world. The fascinating story of Dubai is a mind-opener and a living example of the sky being the limit. The boost in tourism made Dubai prosperous and it started to invest in worldly attractions.
